An E-X-P-L-O-S-I-V-E pure oyster shell of a Foxcroft: a wine of great finesse. Subtle class, an umami sesame oil nose and a brighter flintiness than Wingfield. How do easy richness and nobility cohabit? The equilibrium, purity and tightness that Wingfield displays, but with perhaps on an earlier–appreciable, more agreeable frame. Still, a surprising slately purity that points to a few years in the cellar.
